Wow!!! This feels good.
I'm right in the middle of. Had to take a break to write this. I have a similar problem that the previous reporters have. I was called, bullied, lied to etc. Etc.
I was smart. I did my research and here we go. {Please don't take legal advice from these threads. We should all pay up if we owe} BUT I FOUGHT BACK AGAINST THE INFIDELS...
After learning who they are I called them back and did the same thing to them. Except I was nicer about it than they were, by design, which made them more upset. First I told them that this conversation is being recorded. I start grilling them with questions about illegal activity while reminding them that the conversation is being recorded. You can hear them squirm and they passed me off to supervisors and the like. Which by the way was impossible before. "Are you a law firm or a collection agency?" ANSWER: "We're in the building of a law..." INTERRUPTED: "So this means no. You can be in the same building but not be. I'm not stupid. Just tell the truth." I finally got them to admit after about 2 minutes of that. THEAY ARE NOT A LAW FIRM.
I made them listen. I controlled things. I told them everything I know about their company. I expressed to them how uneducated they are. I asked them how long it took them to learn the terminology they learned at the company. They got UPSET!!! They hung up on me...
I called back until they would listen. I tied their phone lines up for about 4 hours. They threaten harassment (isn't that the kettle?). It was funny. I told them that it sounds like a similar false threat that they made earlier when they called me. I made everyone listen to me even though they didn't want to. Even if they were really filing for harassment, they have no case because I was trying to talk and the phone would be disconnected. So of course I have to call back.
It went so far that one of their big bosses (Jessica Colby) called me from home. Yes, they called her to tell her about this maniac tying up their lines. She got a hold of me and proceeded to call them conference style.
* They hung up on her several times thinking it was me. That was the best part. *
She finally got through and she called herself mediating. My calmness and persistence in asking for an apology pissed her off. She lasted 2 minutes before she turned into them. I told her that I now see where they get their training. She blew up. Harsh language, telling me "don't send in the money order. We'll just have the attorneys handle it.
It felt like such a victory having her call me from her home and going through all this.
I know that there are thousands others going through the hard times with this company. But I'm proud of my one day of victory. I could hear the entire office in the background talking about it. They got nothing done for a few hours. This is a day that they won't forget.
JUST IMAGINE IF WE ALL DO THAT? I'm not suggesting, simply asking. I too have a life. And can't sacrifice any more time though Wednesday, Oct 3 was worth it.
Especially to hear their voices change from mean to bothered but nice.
I still have to get my stuff together and pay my debts. I know that. But we should all be treated with respect. Amen!
