I had pulled my credit report to find out what I needed to do to get it cleaned up and found a charge on there for Verizon Wireless, that had been turned to Palisades Collection Agency. When I called them they couldn't tell me anything about the charge, except that it was under my name and my social security number. These people were the rudest, non-professional people I have ever dealt with.
I received a packet of documentation from them about two weeks later (after I requested it three times) and in that package was bills that I created in Florida, when I lived in California! These people are only concerned about getting their money and not trying to help you. Identity theft is a horrible thing, and getting these people to try and help is not going to happen-Verizon Wireless told me that they couldn't help me because it had been turned to Palisades, now what? How do I get rid of this on my credit report???
