Where do I begin other than the fact that this company is a total scam company.
This people just took me for $1,300 dollars and didnt even provide any services. This is what happend - My wife and I had gotten behind our house note for about $6,000. I originally was in the talks with my mortgage lender to try and catch up on my note.
Well my mortage comp. Ended up coming through and did a loan modification for me. The only thing they were requiring was for me to put down $2,500 up front and they will carry all that past due balance on top of the loan. So basically I was starting fresh all over again as If never got behind.
Now that was a total blessing. My wife and I were so happy when my mortage comp. Said they would do that. Well I ended up receiving the necessary paper work I had to sign to do the modification. As for the $2,500, my wife and I had to really scrape up some cash, we had to ask some our friends and family members if we could borrow some cash. I even had to skip one of my car notes in order to complete that $2,500. So we ended up gathering the cash.
Well while we were at home and getting everything ready to send to my mortgage comp. My wife ends finding a phone number for a mortage assistance place one her relatives gave her. So what do we do? We end calling this place to see what these guys are about. From that day thats when everything just went to sh*t.
So we called Fresh Start Mortgage and end up speaking to one of their reps.By the name of Mike Costa. He practically promised me the world. He told me that same loan modification my mortage comp. Is doing, they can do it but instead of me paying $2,500 I just pay them $1,300.
I wasnt still 100% sure about what he was saying, but he ended up convincing me. He said for me not to contact my mortage lender anymore cause they are going to do all the work. For me just to put all that paper work from my mortage lender away. That I didnt have to do that loan modification. He was all saying how Im saving money, I mean this guy really fed me a bunch of crap.
I remember word per word what I had told him and asked him. I had told him, that he better not come at me a couple of weeks later and say "Good news, we gotten you loan modification, but all you have to do is just pay an extra $1,000 and your set." If thats the case I can just stick with my original loan mod from my mortage comp. And thats it, no more worrys.
So he tells me "No sir, the next call your going to get from me is to just let you know that you can go ahead and send your house note now." So I give him the go, and tell him to dont bs with me, cause this my home and that $2,500 is my one chance to get this straight.
I mean I was right there, I was at the last step to get my house note straight.instead this guy here (Mike Costa) decided, he would screw a man with two daughters for $1,300. Well I just received a call from their litigation dept. And the rep there told me that I had to go with the loan mod from my mortage comp. So basically I had to pay $2,500 on top of the $1,300 that I had given them already. So pretty much all they did was just relay the same info my mortage comp had already told me. That was it. Now they're just like "Im sorry sir, these things happend." "By the way thank you for your $1,300."
I mean what do these people think they are doing?! Do they think they are doing something as simple as a telemarketing job and switching someones long distance phone service? These are people's homes they are messing with here. These people have families they have to take care of. Me for instance works hard every day to provide the stuff my daughters need. I work to provide my family with a home so they can feel secure.
Now I had a chance to get my house note straight, and for some guy to just take my money that I had to borrow from people in a blink of an eye, thats just beyond f*ked up. This guy (Mike Costa) is sooo lucky that I dont live where he is located, cause I promise he would be unrecognizeable when they find his body in a ditch and actually Im still trying to find a way to get where he's at.
Right now Im at the point of losing my home and loosing my car, so it caint get any worser. So my advice to all who read this, do not do any business with this company, unless you feel like giving your money away. You will get taken just like that!
