I have had the absolite worst time with this company. Let's just go ahead and forget the RIDICULOUS amounts of aggressive phone collections I have had to deal with. I owe money, they want it... So I at least understand that one.
However.
I spent seven months paying installments of 63 dollars on a 1200 dollar debt. When I went to pay the rest off, they tell me I still owe almost a thosand dollars because several hundred went to "interest not included in the stated amount owed." I demanded a recrd of the payments and wehre they went and they refused to provide a record of payments made to True Logic. As I paid in money orders and did not keep receipts, my own fault, I can't argue.
However. Again.
I agreed to pay the remaining amount contigent upon receiving a written statement saying I owe x dollars and after I pay x dollars, it will be marked "paid-as-agreed." After weeks of working on getting this, I gathered everything I needed to pay it in one lump sum (it took about three weeks) and called. They had turned the debt over to another company. They gave me the number to the company.
I called the number they gave me and the company on the other end says that True Logic keeps handing out their number, they don't know who I am, and they weren't even the company they had said. They gave me another number to another company. I have YET to hear from them.
I have money to pay off this debt and try to clean up my credit. I have nowhere to send it. I made it CLEAR I was paying off the debt in full and not settling and the debt suddenly disappeared. I have no idea where it is.
This makes no sense.
So now I've consulted a financial advisor. Maybe he'll know what to do. I'm at a loss.
