My father passed away, and being his only child it fell to me to deal with his estate. He had a car loan through Wells Fargo, and upon his death I contacted them to inform them of the situation. My father did not leave a will, estate, insurance money or enough money in his bank acct. To bury him with. I told them to come get the car. Two month after my father died, several faxed, a couple of hours on the phone on hold and a certified letter with his death certificate in it, they finally repo'ed the car. However, now they are attempting to collect further moneys from his " estate", and me to cover whatever they don't get at auction. Not only do they not understand that he died a poor army vet with nothing to his name, but also that I am not legally responsible for his debt!
