I signed a contract for a new home in the beginning of 2008. I invested 10k to the builders as a partial down payment until close of escrow. Part of the agreement was if I went with CTX mortgage the builders would credit me 10k to be used toward the closing cost of my home. My home builders and CTX mortgage are partner companies.
I meet with a CTX mortgage loan officer and I supplied him with all my documents necessary for my loan. The last time I spoke with him he gave me a good faith estimate and assured me he would get me my loan; as long as my spouses credit score went up.
Eventully, my spouces credit score went up and I was under the assumption that my CTX mortge loan officer had everything he needed.
Months went by and nothing. The only call I received from him was when he asked if I could put 10% down insead of hte agreed upon 5%. I tolf him that I could not afford to put down that much.
Months went by and nothing. I received a letter from my home builder asking me to have my loan finalized as my home wouild close escrow in a months time.
I called my CTX Mortgage loan officer two times and left him messages but I never heard from him. I had no idea that he did not get me my home loan. He never informed me. I actually found out by the sales representative from my home builders that the CTX mortage loan officer did not get me a loan.in fact he left on vacation.
If I never found out from the sales rep, I would have lost my home due to no loan.
I feel that CTX mortage company set me up for failure.
The CTX mortage company loan officer did nothing to keep me informed. If I had depended on him I woul have lost everything.
The CTX mortage compnay loan officer was irresponsible, unprofessional, negligent and fradulant.
