Capital First preys on desperate people in desperate situations. I was stupid enough to give them the $29.95. I got my big packet in the mail, and saw that I would be charged almost $160.00 more after 7 days! They don't send a card until you fill out an application and I'm sure no card would ever arrive.
I went on the internet to investigate Capital First, and fortunately found your wonderful site. I called Capital First immediately, and tried to cancel.
I was very firm, but they kept interrupting me with reasons why I shouldn't cancel. I told them I was calling for one reason, and one reason only, and that was to CANCEL immediately. They put me on hold for over 5 minutes, I guess hoping I would hang up. When they came back on, they kept asking why I wouldn't want to re-establish my credit, since it was already bad, etc. I told them I wanted immediate confirmation of cancellation. They finally said the account was cancelled and gave me a name "Nancy" and confirmation #024. I told them I would be reporting to anyone who would listen.
I hope other's don't fall prey to this horrible company. I'm out $29.95 and hopefully that's all. DON'T EVER BELIEVE companies that sound too good to be true. No matter how desperate you are, if you get a call from Capital First - say NO - and hang up!
