I received a call today, and as I usually do not answer calls from numbers I do not recognize, I let it go to voicemail. On my voicemail the caller left a message, for who, she did not say. She did say that she is with Allied Interstate and that I needed to call them back about a debt, at a number originating from Nevada. I am in Utah. I stumbled upon this website when I did a search for Allied Interstate. And wow, am I glad I did!
I am curious to know who the call was for, and what the debt is. But, if I return the call, will that reset the SOL? I do have an old debt that went to collections about 9 years ago... I'd hate to have it resurrected from the grave. From what I've read so far about this company, I'm hesitant to make any contact. But, being that they have my cell phone number, I don't want my minutes going through the roof either, and would prefer to nip things in the bud before they keep calling as they have done in the reports I've read so far.
I get a lot of wrong numbers but how can I find out if this is the case, without contacting them?
I've received nothing in writing from Allied Interstate previous to this call.
