I am a 58 year Vietnam veteran on this Veterans Day (Rememberance Day in Canada, not that any of this matters but, at any rate it must be noted. To supplement a meger income and wanting to again provide a service to people, I decided to join SMC.
I was greeted with a year long membership reduction of $314.95. Seemly, I was assigned a "coach", in order to help me startup and get this venture off and running. And yes, this is what I was initalially seeking, a venture in which I could legally supplement my income, backed with the bonififide support of a company servivinving and assisting me in serviving the needs of Americans.
I was assigned a "business coach, Mr. Nester Garrett. It turned out Mr. Garrett is a company person, which he is supose to be, they pay his salary. I found he was not a coach. He was in fact a rip-off. Once Mr. Garrrett had my debit card number, he felt he could rule my financial life and well being. It was, now we are going to make some money. It was the way I had decided I wanted to begin this venture initially, via internet sales. The initial price quoted for a "basic" SMC internet site was $1000.00. I balked, knowing I did not have enough funds to cover the startup. Mr Garrett insisted ther was enought to startup and stated he was going to get things started, and send a host of materials I needed to help us make money. The end result was in less than two weeks, my account has suffered a $1833.71 loss and I have not made a sale.
Making a effort to stop, question, or seek answers from SMC is non existent. There is no sup port if you want to cancel and when you find it it is much more difficult to get your money back. It takes them twelve numbers to get your money and more than thirty days for you to get your money back, less any restrictions listed in the membership (contract).
