First of all, let me write that Bank of Kansas has helped me in the past and has overall what I consider to be good customer service.
The one thing that I do not feel is right is the fact that they did not inform me that I had to sign a document to close a savings account.
I withdrew what money I had in said account and said I wanted to close it out. The person at the drive up allowed that this was okay but did not bother to inform me that I needed to sign out inside at some time.
So, a few months later, after thinking I have closed this saving account, I get a bill with a minus balance of $9.98. Not a lot, but still as long as it was not paid and the account signed off, I would still be charged for having an open account.
This, I feel amounts to legal theft. Consider, If this had continued, more would have been added to this kept open account.
To make a long story short, I paid the paltry sum needed and signed out of said account.
This is only one small example of how banks are ripping people off.
Again, let me reiterate, I feel that overall, Bank of Kansas provides good customer service.
What happened, I do not feel is right and I believe I should be reimbursed.
