Bb&t took out $1092.00 out of my acount in 60 days

I wish I had a way to post my Bank's statements here.
Should a Bank be allowed to take out $1092.00 for NSF between 4/18/08 and 6/18/08 without any reasonable explaination? Despite the overdraft protection, it happened to me (acount #xx) please do not let it happen to you.

When I complained, the customer (dis) service asuured me that that those unreasonable charges will be taken off.in the mean time I closed the account. Everything was fine (or so I thought) untill I was attracted again by BB&T's so very convenient location and opened an account there again for my work to direct deposit my paycheck. One fine morning I went to buy cake for my daughter's birthday only to find out that my account was negative.'Surely a mistake' I thought. No sir, BB&T's (RECOVERY DEPARTMENT) had very conveniently syphoned all the money out of my account. I was furious, and after 10's of calls I finally found out the person's name and number who froze my account. Of course Ms. Dixon had gone to a week's vacation and she was the ONLY ONE who could tell me why my account was frozen. To make the long story short, BB&T's position is that I still owed them $1049.02 in fees from my previous account so they took that money out leaving my account in negative, and charging me $35.00 for NSF after they were responsible for the NSF.in the meantime my IRS refund was deposited in the account. I went to close the account she gave the balance minus $148.19 in additional fees which according to her had not been posted yet!
No one can explain the two myterious electronic transfers that took the account to go negative, and then once I was negative, MY BANK joined the gang. "Why would a Bank allow another 13 transactions in a span of 13 days, on your card when according to them you are already $944.02 negative? Good question uhhhh? Well the answer is simpler than what you think: so that they can legaly get into your $655.00 " Can you do anything about it?"NOTHING!"

If a bank charged off your previous account, why would they open another account for you within 6 months? They did it for me (account # xx).
