I have had a credit card with this Company now for 6 months now. I paid my bill on and before time in which it was due. I also paid this account in full each time I made a payment, and today while reading my statement I learned that for a cash advance they charged me a 86.93% APR. This is crazy, when I contacted them the representative I spoke with was rude and when she realized I was upset she got worse.
So finally I explained that I just wanted to pay the card off and close the Account, she became more rude a wouldn't let me speak, she just kept talking as I was trying to figure out why they had used a interest rate of this size. She then told me there would be a fee of $5.95 to make this payment on the Phone and a fee of $3.00 just to close this account.
I have never heard of anything such as this and hope I never do again...
This should also serve as a reminder to check your monthly statements for all charges especially APR's.
