This company contacted me by telephone saying they were Capital One Credit Card Company and offered me a credit card. Since I have bad credit problems they offered me a $2,000 credit limit but I had to pay upfront $200.00 and that I would receive vouchers in $50.00 increments to pay my credit card purchases each month. No where did they say this was a cataloge credit card not a VISA or MASTERCARD. They recorded our conversation.
After the money was taken out of my checking account they send me a letter to sign. I am very upset about this kind of treatment and deception. I am on a limited income, social security disability with a child still living at home. There needs to be some kind of law against this kind of deceiving. I won't answer my phone anymore because I don't trust the person on the other end.
If anyone knows what action I can take to get refunded my money please e-mail me at (ROR REDACTED E-MAIL ADDRESS FOR SECURITY PURPOSES)
Thanks.
