Countrywide's slogan, "no one can do what Countrywide can" is so appropriate. Their mission statement on the web states, their "reputation is predicated on devotion and determination to achieve total customer satisfaction; goals of this initiative are to build trust, strengthen relationships; play a critical role in ensuring that the dream of homeownerships is attainable to everyone; create wealth and enables individuals and families to prosper while playing a vital role in the health of our Country's economy". Countrywide's President, obviously does not stand behind his beliefs.
We were approved for a 2 part home loan from Countrywide December. This is when the nightmare begins and has never ended. From incorrect figures to inappropriate color ink on the loan application. The 1st loan was processed properly and current. The 2nd loan was not properly processed. We have never received any monthly payment coupons as stated on the contract, despite numerous phone calls, unanswered certified letters to the President, as they activated foreclosure process. We paid the required amount, but it was applied to the 1st loan. Still no monthly coupons were mailed and the required form 1098 for year end taxes were not filed. The foreclosure process was reactivated. After spending thousands of dollars to retain an attorney, their attorney was deceitful and took advantage of our situation to file a judgement summary and Countrywide won.
We have filed formal complaints to the State Department of Financial Instituitions, Federal Trade Commission and IRS. Now we are again facing another reactivation of a foreclosure.
Similar to all who have experienced Countrywide's tactics, we believe in what is right and just, but they continue to destroy our sanctuary and dignity.
There must be some way that Countrywide should be accountable for their unethical and possibly unlawful ploys to destroy so many people's lifes.
