We were supposed to have mortgage insurance in case my husband or myself got hurt and were unable to make payments on our mortgage. We contacted HomeSavers USA to see if they could prevent us from losing our home.
I spoke to someone on the phone and I was told we qualified for their program and a specialist would contact me. I spoke to the "specialist" and she agreed to send us a packet, and guaranteed we would not lose our home, and they would negotiate with our mortgage company and keep us informed of all communications with them. For only $540.00
We sent the money in and over a period of 3 months had a total of 6 calls from our "specialist". She would not return our calls, did not supply us with copies of the communications with Ameriquest, did not present us with a payment plan we could afford; in fact, HomeSavers' told us we could not put the arrears at the end of the mortgage and Ameriquest told us they would do exactly that.
The sale date of our home came, and HomeSavers had not contacted us in 5 weeks. I contacted them and asked them why no one had contacted us... And was told our specialist would be in touch... She never did.
I contacted them again to find our what I could do to get our money back and was told to write to their refund dept. I did write them and have not yet heard from them. I have sent letters once a month for 6 months and have not yet heard anything from them.
