After reading everything that I have I wish that I would have checked all this out before I started paying them.
I had a bill from 1998 that the Statute of Limitations has run out on and they are calling me regarding this bill and one I beleive that is getting ready to run out, but, because they threatend to contact my employment I paid $50 on both of these accounts. However, I obtained a copy of my credit report yesterday, and Asset Acceptance is on there? Is that possible? Also, it was only for one of the creditors that I was paying not both?
I told them that I would pay them nothing else until I reiceved a letter in the mail on both accounts and I gave them a payment on both accounts but, have yet to reiceve anything in the mail, and then today they start calling my phone? Is there anything that I can do since the staute has run out, also the one from 1998 is no longer on my credit report?
They bullied me into thinking that they could garnish my wages by just calling my job!
