I don't make a lot of money, so I have to keep close track of everything I spend and the exact date that my very few auto-pays (from my Bank of America checking account) are charged. Since I am payed every 2 weeks, I can determine what I have in my account on each day and what will be paid when. But a strange thing happens every few months.
I will have a balance of less than $20 dollars before my paycheck is auto deposited. I will then see auto-pays hit my account 3 to 4 days before they are due, generatinge over draft fees of $34 each. I'll call the individual companies and they all say my accounts show the same (unchanged) date for payment. And the bank denies any wrong doing by blaming the other companies.
The other companies do not benefit by an earlier than usual monthly payment. But Bank of America gets the various over-draft fees. Who would you believe?
