When I used lendingtree.com to investigate mortgages, they sent my information to First Premier Bank of Sioux Falls, SD. This Bank then without any approval or knowledge from myself fraudulently generated a credit card in my name and had the audacity to charge it for over $200 in "fees". When I complained, they simply closed the account and sent me a statement "refunding" the fees to the account to generate a zero balance. I now find a year later that they have posted this account to my credit history as if I had actually applied for and received credit and simply chose not to use it. This is clearly a fraudulent attempt to find consumers who are too busy to check up on all statements and will pay "bills" simply because they have been received.in my case, they didn't get away with it and in revenge posted a fraudulent statement to my credit history to make potential employers suspect I was in credit trouble.
