After paying my bill on time each month, and even making payments when my statement shows a minimum due of $0, Merrick Bank decided to raise my interest from 12% to a whopping 32.20%! In addition to this, they are now charging me an annual fee which is billed to my account at $5 per month. When did paying your bills on time - and making payments even when they don't require one become a cause for punishment? I thought when you made your payments on time you were supposed to be rewarded for that. How can they continue to get away with these practices?
