Citibank Mastercard Deceptive Practices ripoff New York New York

During a call to customer service MasterCard I was asked if i would like to have a $10,000 loan free of interest for one year. I questioned the rep several times, and was told there would be absolutely no interest until after one year, but be sure to cash the check as soon as it came. I pay all my bills off completely every month, so that I never have interst charges.

I had requested e billing, which never worked, so I was receiving calls saying i hadn't paid my balance. They agreed to waive the finance and late fees, since it was their fault. I paid the bills immediately and requested to go back to paper bills. It was then I discovered they were charging me interest on my monthly charges, even though I had paid in full because I had an outstanding loan balance.

I called and spoke with a supervisor and was told that if I didn't use the card, there would be no interest charge. After much hassle, and unable to get anywhere, I paid the interest just to end the hassle. Today I got a phone call from Citibank saying I was overdue on my monthly interest payment.

It never ends! I didn't need the money, I just invested it. They wouldn't allow me to discuss it with anyone of higher authority at the company above customer service, wouldn't give me a name or a phone number. Not only are they deceptive, but they stonewall. I would very much like to see them punished for both deceptive practices and harrassment and the personal anguish they have caused me.
