RIPOFF What does "Your account is now REALLY CLOSED" mean anyway?

In August of I called Capital One to get my balance. I told them that I wanted to close the account. I paid a check over the phone and they said that with the zero balance, the account was closed.

In September I got a bill for $4 a 2 cent fee was applied for credit protection the day I closed the account and a $4.00 membership fee. I called the menu based service and just ended up pushing 0000000 to finaly get the thing to shut up and connect me to a human. He tried to get me to pay, but after a talk about stealing and such, he agreed to reverse the charges. He said the account was REALLY CLOSED.

In October I got a bill with a late charge for that September bill that was reversed on the day I got it in the mailbox. I ent through the same menu, 00000, argue, put on hold, argue, and then... The charges get reversed and she says "Your account is REALLY CLOSED.

November's statement was a few dollars extra. Each statement shows the charges being reversed the previous month. Each statement has new fees. This time they wouldn't reverse the charges. A supervisor was supposed to call and never did. I called back the same afternoon and that rep reversed the charges and said "REALLY CLOSED"

A letter came in early December telling me to pay a late fee or the account may be closed and additional charges added. My email says my December statement is on its way!
