I contacted Authorize.net on August 31 to cancel my account. They are always very prompt at returning e-mails, but I did not hear from them at all that day, or several days after.
On Septmeber 3rd, they confirmed that my account had been closed. Although they closed my account they deited my checking account for $54.95 for the month of September fees. I have charges now with my bank for those fees for which I did not have in my checking account to cover it. I called Authorize.net several times about this issue, asking that the charges be reversed.
They sent me an e-mail on September 10 saying that I didn't close my account until after they sent out billings. I feel they waited intentionally to get the fee, and are now refusing to refund my money.
