Wells Fargo
Ripoff Excessive Fees All Cities

Wells Fargo Bank is not a decent place to do any banking. They will charge you excessive fees and are not consistant with their banking transactions procedures. I have only had two prior overdraft fees in 15 years of having a checking account with 2 other banks. I began using Wells Fargo a little over a year ago when I got a new job that does business with Wells Fargo. I have always done a good job of having extra funds available in my checking account in case of a discrepancy and have never had any problems in the past. My problems first began at the beginning of October when I was reviewing my July bank statement which I received in August. I was not concerned at my funds at all, I just wanted to review the statement. About half-way down the first page I noticed a $100 fee called bank debit. I had no idea on what that fee was for. I only had a checking account with them at the time and it was taken out of that account. I tried calling them but was but on hold for over 15 minutes during my lunch hour at work. I finally decided to email them. I finally received a response back from them telling me it was for my savings account. I explained to them that I had no savings account with them and they told me that I did. I was just online at Wells Fargo website a few days before they emailed me back looking at my account information. I know for a fact that there was no savings account listed for me under my accounts. I also know that I did not receive any savings account bank statement from for the past few months that I so clamimed had an account with them. My savings account was not posted until October 3 with Wells Fargo. Where was my $100 for the past two months? Where would my $100 be today if I had not not looked over that statement and looked into it. I know for a fact that I would not have it. Wells Faro is a greedy, backstabbing, money hungry, stuckup organization. Do not bank with them unless you are a millionaire. They charge excessive fees to low and mid income level people. If you are a business owner or have an upper level income than you can avoid alot of fees. The past three weeks I have been chargered almost $1,600 in overdraft fees and nsf check fees. Wells Fargo is great at making changes to your account 2 to 3 days after the day had ended. For example you may have $500 in your account on the 15th, 16th, and 17th, but if you check your account on the 18th for the 15th your account could be negative hundreds of dollars. They have a really messed up way of banking. My problem occured with them about a month ago. I live up in northern Wisconsin where at this time of the year it gets well below negative 20 to 30 degrees. Our furnace went out on us so I decided to take a direct deposit advance of $200 and a online payday loan of $200 on the same day to cover the remaining expense until I got paid in a few days. My direct deposit advance went through in 24 hours.in 48 hours my online payday loan came through. Well Fargo decided to pay themselves back with my online payday loan without notifying me. They of course waited until almost a week later to let me know. During that time frame I wrote out 4 checks for the following amounts, 6 dollars, 19 dollars, 11 dollars, and 30 dollars. And of course good old Wells Fargo made sure I ovedrafted.By the time that I knew that my account was in the negative i was already withdraw 600 dollars and 500 of it was overdraft fees. I decided to take a loan out from them to take care of it. I took out a loan for 1000 dollars which was plenty to cover their riddiculous charges. After the deposit I had a positive balance of close to 300 dollars. But then two days later when i looked at my balance for the two previous days it showed that i was negative 600 dollars. And of course it was all bank fees. So as far as I am concerned I did not even take a loan out with these cold hearted assholes. I am going to consider that a gift to gift them. After all I did not see any of them money. I think they just stold it back from me so I did not even actually reveive it as far as I am concerned. There has to be some kind of law against this type of bad business going on. My advice is to go to a small credit union or a smaller bank with bankers and owners who actually care about their clients.
