Frontier Leasing, in my opinion uses unethical businesss practices and bullying tactics to take advantage of small business owners.
My husband and I have unfortunately been a victim to this leasing company. As the stories before, my husband leased a ATM machine from CCC and signed a lease. Unfortunately after 6 mos of paying monthly payments of around $300.00 and never receiving any monies from CCC as promised, our business closed. My husband, who by the way was the sole proprietor of the business and signed the lease, called Frontier Leasing and they came and picked up our ATM machine (worth around 2,000.00). That was five years ago. We have never had any communication with or from Frontier leasing since that time.
This year, out of the blue we receive -in the mail - that they had filed a suit and won a judgement against him for the remainder of the lease, plus interest and whatever fees they could add on. This lease was signed in Pennsylvania, but filed in Iowa. We were seeking the advice of a lawyer, when to our horror found out they they had put a legal restraint on our personal JOINT bank accounts. I am not sure how my money is involved since my name is not associated in any way with the lease or business in which the lease was signed.
I am appalled and disgusted. My life has been turned upside down. These people are trying to make us pay in excess of $12,000.00 for a $2000.00 machine that they have, and have had possession of for the last five years.
I feel that the suit in Vermont tells the whole story. Frontier Leasing can act like they are a victim all they want, but these leases were originally obtained by fraudulent methods and it is their duty, if they are a reputable organization, to make sure these leases were not procured by FRAUD! Fronteir Leasing should have done their homework.
I have to laugh at a rebuttal from an employee at Frontier Leasing posted on this website. She states that Vermont was a different issue due their laws. This statement tells me that Frontier Leasing will hide behind less stringent laws to take advantage of small business owners who do not have the monetary resources to fight them. If something is Wrong, it is Wrong. Might does not mean Right.
I would like to know how any of them sleep at night. I will be here in my modest home in Pennsylvania, losing a lot of sleep, wondering how to access my money that has been frozen, that I worked very hard for, to pay for my children's food, school and clothes. SHAME ON THEM AND ANYONE WHO HELPS THEM OR STANDS BEHIND THEM in these ATMS scam cases.
If anyone in PA is interested in filing a Class Action Suit against this company, please contact us. My husband has contacted the Attorney Generals office in PA. And filed a formal complaint with them. Do not be bullied by their tactics, contact our link and help fight this. Bad things happen when good people stand by and let it happen.
