I applied for credit yesterday on gateway.com and they directed my application to Paradigm Acceptance and I was told I would hear from them within 48 hours. This morning I received a call from them telling me that I had been approved for credit. When I called back the lady who spoke with me instantly went in to asking if I had a valid checking and or savings account. I immediately asked her to stop and ask that she give the all of the variables on the loan that they were offering before she wasted my time or hers. She then proceeded to explain to me that it would cost me an inital $83.88 and then $27.96 a week for 10 weeks, all of which would be drafted directly from my bank account. After the 10 weeks I would then owe $1899.00 which would be financed to me at 18% interest. What amazed me is that I had not previously selected a computer. What amazed her was that I informed her at the end of her spill that I had gotten online after applying yesterday and research her company and discovered very negative reports on them on more than one site including the better business bureau. She immediatly said OK and hung up the phone before I even had a chance to tell her that if she thought I was a big enough fool to finance a computer for that amount of money she had lost her mind. I just want to tell you guys thanks for the postings because you saved me a tremendous amount of money.
