I received a phone call from a collection agency, requesting $59.95 for an account with First Credit of America. I had never heard of this company, so I requested that information be mailed to me. The representative became angry and demanded that I give him my credit card number immediately, or else it would adversely affect my credit report. This person would not give me his name, the collection agency's name, or let me speak with his supervisor. They had my name, social security number, phone number and home address. When they could not give me additional information or send any documentation of this debt, I hung up.
