The same thing happened to me. They called and offered guaranteed an unsecured credit card with a credit limit of $2000.00. They debited my checking account for $299.
I read something on the internet from someone reporting this as a scam, so I called them and they assured me over and over again that it wasn't. They told me I would receive my card within 10-20 business days. A month passed and I tried calling the customer service number and it said all customer representatives are busy assisting other customers please leave a message, but the message box was full.
I went to my bank and filled out a dispute form and they informed me that they couldn't do anything because it's past the 60 days. A few weeks later someone called Private and said they were going to refund my money back into my account. They called about 3 times to verify my address and the last time they called, they said my money should be back in my account within 5 days. It's past 5 days and I still didn't get my money. I also told the guy I know it's a scam and he claimed he was with the U. S government and told me my bank was trying to get my money back for me.
I haven't heard anything since. I was wondering if anyone else got the refund phone call. Is there anything I can still do about it, since I already went through the dispute process???
