We are a newspaper, and this company ordered advertising with us (they have a debt consolidation company) for eight weeks. They gave us a credit card to pay for their ad (s). After they ran for 4 weeks, we got a letter from the credit card company saying that they did not authorize this transaction and would be doing a "chargeback" of $1100 if we do not have a signature authorizing the usage of the card. Hence, because we did this transaction over the telephone, we did not have a signature. This company received four weeks of free advertising and refused to return my calls.
