In March my husband and myself gave Robert and Mary Rowe a cashiers check for $30,000 for a down payment on a house for us to lease purchase with the agreement that we would secure our own financing within 2 years time.in October the Rowe's filed bankruptcy which unknown to us at that time included our house once we became aware of the situation the Rowe's assured us there would be no problems in us still obtaining the property.
From that time until just a month ago we attempted to get the payoff for the property and the Rowe's would not satisfy our requests this went on for a year and a half. The Rowe's all this time still assuring us things would be ok.
3 of my 4 children that the Rowe's have caused to lose their (our) home.
Two weeks ago I walk out the front door and there sits a very large for sale sign so I call the number and speak with the listing agent and tell him that we are lease purchasing this property and that we have 2 years mortgage payments on it and a $30,000 down payment he says you have big problems the house has been foreclosed on and he gives me a number to the banks attorneys. I then call the attorneys office and they agree that I have big problems and inform me that I should be receiving a registered letter stating that we (my husband, myself, and our 4 kids one of whom is handicapped) all have to vacate property by June 1 this year 2005. The Rowe's will have absolutely no contact with us at this point, no explaination or excuse or anything to justify themselves. Robert Rowe is a manager at a local Bi-Lo grocery, and his wife Mary Rowe is a brokered real estate agent also works locally. We have since found out that we are not the only people that the Rowe's have scammed and I just want the world to know that these people are not worthy of the air they breathe.
