I recently responded to a Craig's List ad for a part-time clerical position and received an email from a representative of Rowe Recruitment & Partners expressing interest in hiring me for the job. I was asked to complete the "pre-interview screening" (link was provided in their email) and, within 72 hours someone from HR would be in contact with me to schedule an interview.
Rather than do my homework and reserach the company first, I completed the application, including the credit report. That should have been a red flag for me ~ I'm not normally that naive ~ but I am desperate to secure employment and this position sounded perfect.
Now that I have done the research (after the fact, unfortunately), I know this "company" is bogus ~ and I am fearful that my credit is in jeopardy. My mistake ~ my stupidity ~ but just be warned that Rowe Recruitment is NOT legitimate. Don't make the same mistake I just did ~
