I opened a disney reward bank one credit card so my 6 years old son can earn disney rewards dollors for every money I spent with the credit card. The card earbed 82 points which is equivalent to $82.00 in disney rewards which my son can use in any disney stores or at disneylnd parks.
When I redeemed the rewards, bank one sent us a gift card with $82.00 initial card balance with an expiration date of 12/05. I closed the bank One VISA card last year but kept the dieney reward gift card at hand and never used it. When my son finally want to use the card, Bank One would not activate the card and said that when we closed our account, the gift card was cancelled. I think that's a TOTAL RIFF-OFF!!! We earned those rewards and the card brochure even says to treat the gift card as cash. As far as I am concerned they stole my son's earned money!!!
