RE: Los Angeles Times article

Ameriquest has a long-standing history of making credit available to help Americans achieve their financial goals, providing good jobs in neighborhoods across the country, investing in technology to ensure quality loans, and giving back to the communities in which we do business. We are proud of our role in increasing homeownership to historic levels and significantly reducing the cost of mortgages through competition, innovation and Best Practices.

With our growing national visibility comes increased media interest in our organization. On February 4, the Los Angeles Times newspaper published an article about Ameriquest. While we are proud to discuss our good works, we have a responsibility to protect our associate, customer and vendor privacy. As a result, we do not respond to rumors or speculation.

When you read these kinds of stories, always keep in mind that we are unshakeable in our commitment to "do the right thing" in everything we do. Be proud that you are working for a great company that pioneered Best Practices to set ethical lending standards for the mortgage industry. Know that we value your contributions, and that you are helping us to build a legacy of excellence.

Here are the seven key points that we made to the Los Angeles Times.

1.in its 25-year history, Ameriquest has helped hundreds of thousands of homeowners purchase or refinance their homes, making it possible for them to achieve their financial goals and enhance their quality of life.

2. We are proud of our role in helping increase homeownership to historic levels.

3. We are a nationwide lender and our goal is to continue to lead the industry through Best Practices and providing superior products and services.

4. We do not tolerate unethical or improper behavior by our associates or our vendors, and hold ourselves to the highest standards and ethical practices.

5. Ameriquest pioneered innovative Best Practices in the mortgage industry.

6. We have procedures and internal controls in place that are designed to ensure that underwriting standards, pricing policies and property valuations are fair and accurate.

7. We act promptly to resolve any issues that arise.

The positive impact of our organization and actions ultimately speak loudly of who we are. Thank you for your continued personal commitment to "doing the right thing" and for your efforts to help Ameriquest achieve its goal to be the leading company in the mortgage industry.

If he honestly believes anything he wrote, I feel terrible for the man. I wish he only knew what area manager's like Adam Rothman have done to his company. It's sad when someone starts a company one way, and gets twisted and mangled by his own employees.

Roland, you need to wake up buddy. The damage that was created in Area 17 under Adam Rothman will haunt your company for the rest of it's existance.

The more Ameriquest advertises, the louder the voices of the customers and thousands of former employees will get.

This company can cover it up, dismiss it, laugh at it, and ignore it.

But deep down, a raging, infectious disease looms in the soul of this company, and mark my words, this company will not last...
