Back in I was doing some home improvements and decided I would check around for a good mortgage company. Needless, to say Ameriquest was advertised on TV so I checked them out. (My first time at something like this so it was Ameriquest leading the blind and making it all seem wonderful. Anyway, they sent the apprasier to my home and he valued my property for $202,000. Anyway, we did all the paper work and everything was fine. Then the mortgage interest rate started going up. I was not told this was a variable interest loan or I never would have did it. Needless, to say I went from $1450.00 a month to $1826.40 where I am now. I have tried every mortgage company in my area and no one can even come close to what the AMC appraiser had come. Every mortgage company said that AMC had the appraier over appraise the property, therefore, I am stuck with a mortgage that I have to scrape every dime I earn to make this payment in order to keep my family home. I am disabled and I only draw Social Security and it does not cover the entire mortgage payment. AMC really did a number on me and I need some help to get my mortgage refinanced at a fixed 30 year mortgage. Any one that can help me would be very deeply appreciated.
