My wife and I had recieved an offer to get a Bank of America credit card in Dec, 03. Since we HAD good credit we got instanly approved for near 4000 dollars. It also had a balance transfer with a 0% apr for a year. So I transfered my Discover balance over. Now through the course of the year I had major pay issues with the Army (for whom I work). As a result I had to make deals with all of my creditors. I made a payment agreement with BofA for them to take out ONE payment.
Imagine my surprise when they took it out the next TWO months which through my tightly budgeted account very overdrawn. It took them 14 days to get my money back and the kicker is that they had CLOSED my account before I even made the first payment and never told me. When I asked about why if my account is closed am I still being charged all the interest. They said that they can do that. I have NEVER heard of that at all. Also, my account had the protection plan that they forgot about they have been very deceptive and hard to get a hold of.
