If you have ever had the misfortune of having a bil sent to a debt collector, make sur eit is not I.C. System in St. Paul Minnesota. These guys are a rip off. They are unprofessional, threatning, & just plain idiots.
First let me tell you I had the misfortune of being introduced to this company. I started recieving calls from a Minnesota ph# everyday, 5-10 times a day. They hung up every time, never left a message, & would even call back to back. This went on for about 3 months. I never recieved a letter from the company, no other notifications.
Then finally, I decided to call the # back. I told the girl who answered, what had been going on for 3 months-she hung up. I called back, explained what happened, she hung up. I called again, & someone else answered. I asked for the 800 # & they questioned me like a criminal. "What your name, what's your #, Why do you want it, Where do you live?" What in the hell is that? So I finally got the # advised a rep of my situation, & he explained I owed a creditor (less than $100) and that I need to pay that instance.
WHOA! I don't know who you are, I have nothing in writing, & they are asking for my bank account #. Sounds FRAUDULENT to me. So I said no, I can't pay until January (less than 2 weeks away) & he said "Well that's too late, hope you got a good attorney. HAHAHA! You do have one right?" VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, Very Rude, & you can tell they are oviously uneducated. I truly think this is one of the companies that use "INMATES FROM JAILS" to man their call center. I had to call almost 5 times just to get an address becuase I was being questioned like I was a theif. Then the rep told he wanted to know out of cuiosity. How unprofessional is that! SO be warned... If you get a call from these guys, call the creditor directly who SHOULD be glad to make other arrangements.
