Some time during the second week of November I was called by a woman telemarketer who said she was representing Mastercard FLB. She said I was pre-approved for a card that offered 0% apr for two years.
She went on to say that they were offering a Pentium 4 computer the cost of which would be placed on the card. She gave me the list of specs on the computer set up, 15" moniter, speakers, etc. All for 354.90!!
I was assured that the card would be with Bank of America and that I would receive my computer within 21 days by December third. The only part of the deal that I didn't like was the ninety day warrentee. I chose to accept.
I gave my cheking acct. Routing numbers in order to make automatic minimum payments on the card. I was told that the customer service # was 1-800-315-0356 and a verification number to track my order.
I didn't know I'd been scammed until I went to my credit Union and found that the entire amount had been removed from my checking account. The one time, out of 100 attempts, that I got thru to customer service I spoke to a machine.
