I am Robin... A daughter and Power of Attorney for my dear sick elderly mother. She has been taken advantage of I believe by Ameriquest Mortgage Company. I have been sent a standard CALS Letter by Ameriquest from a California Class Action I have called that # for 4 months and still no response, although they promise on their recorded message that some will return their call within 48 hrs!
I am a witness to the "changing of the loan terms" at the last minute, High closing costs with promises of something different, and continuous rising costs of our loan when we were supposed to be fixed for two years. Supposedly they were to apply escrow and have not, and have charged us for projected tax payments when that is not necessary. Now Mom and I are not real savvy but were learning and we are pissed. She is on a fixed income and they are trying to take it all.
Please respond ASAP I have two weeks to make a decision what to do. Ameriquest has actually tried to call us to refinance. Ha not on your life! I am consulting an attorney, but really need to get the initial loan papers reviewed by someone who can understand them. We are current on payments but do not want to deal with frauds.
