Like a lot of people I have been subject to an attempted fraud by this company: I hired a van and they refused to return my deposit. Having then read these reviews I cancelled my debit card and asked my bank for help. They put me on to their visa dispute team.

To make a case against these fraudsters, I submitted a detailed cover letter together with all the available evidence: the emails exchanged, the terms and conditions off the website, a letter from the subcontracted van provider (Enterprise) to say the van was returned on time and in good order etc - and a print out of all these complaints to show that I was not the only one defrauded. I had at some stage to make another statement saying I was out of pocket as a result of their refusal to refund me. It then took 4 months but eventually the money was recovered.

The issue here is that companies like this undermine the whole premise behind internet shopping and the use of debit cards. They cannot be allowed to succeed. Everyone must challenge them and this method worked for me - and it will not take long for banks to realise that their accounts are costly to run because of the weight of complaints against them.

This company are fraudulent and blatant about being so. They lie to your face. They even told my bank, contrary to every other piece of evidence, that the hire charge included the deposit and that it was not returnable.

Please do not give in. Talk to your bank and get them to help. Good luck.
