I purchased a Groupon for an Improv show, with the terms of $20 for 2; the next day the same deal was listed on GrouponNow with the terms of $16 for 2. Beliving in Groupon's promise of "making it right", I wrote to Customer Serivce. Much to my shock, I was basically told Groupon had no responsibility or control of the matter, as a merchant can list deals for lower proces via GrouponNow. The final reply from "Customer Service" was that I could give my $20 Groupon to a friend and purchase the $16 GrouponNow for myself, now that really added insult to injury! I've purchased tons of Groupons and was amazed at the attitude and totaly disregard for customer service over $4, I even asked for just a future credit of $4 towards purchase of a Groupon. Nope, Groupon's terms of service didn't cover my matter. Until someone from Groupon is willing to live up to their tag line of "making it right", I am off Groupon and I advise everyone to take my experience into consideration when thinking about a Groupon purchase!
