HORRIBLE SERVICE - Chip registration

I adopted a dog in Dec who had a 24PetWatch chip previously implanted.

I was given a Registration Document and Change of Ownership Form to send in. Both were mailed on Dec 6.

On a fluke, I decided to go online & check the chip registration of my various pets (Home Again & 24PetWatch).

Of the 2 pets with 24PetWatch chips, only one cat was registered to me. When I entered the microchip number of my Beagle, he came up registered to another owner. Note that this poor puppy was adopted & returned 3 times before I got him in 2009.

I phoned 24PetWatch on January 27 and was told to refax the documents (the number on the form was verified). I was told it would take several days to complete the registration.

I checked the site on February 6, and he was still registered to another owner.

I called again, and spoke with someone who identified himself as "Nick". He apologized and assured me that, if I fax the documents to his attention, he would walk them through before the end of the day. So, they were sent off a 3rd time. Note, it is now more than 2 years that my Beagle was unprotected by his chip.

I checked the site at the end of the day, and it was still not done.

I called again, this time speaking to someone who identified herself as "Natalie". She said "Nick", the supervisor, was in a meeting but was working until 10pm. She felt confident that if he said he'd take care of it, that he would. As a backup, she had me re-fax the documents (now a 4th time) to her attention & she would leave them on his desk. I gave her my cell phone number to have Nick call when it was completed. I never received a call.

I checked the site in the evening, and he was still not registered to me.

So, I went to the "LiveChat" format. "Michael" helped me by saying, if I sent in the documents, he's sure they received them and to give it 5-6 business days to process. Wow. Thanks.

I checked the site the following afternoon, February 7. Still, my Beagle is not registered to me. So I called again and asked for "Nick".

The "Nick" that came to the phone insisted he was not the person I spoke to the day before, saying he wasn't working in the morning. I told him my story, letting him know that someone identifying himself as Nick, requested the faxed copies and that Natalie also requested faxed copies. This "Nick" then requested that I email the documents to him. He sent me a "test" email that I replied to with the attachments. When I telephoned to ask for his verification that the documents were received, "Angela" told me he was out to lunch.

I gave "Angela" my cell phone to have Nick call me... Who wants to bet I don't receive a call.

Unbelievable!!!

Lord help these people if I am forced to have their useless chip surgically removed and another maker's chip implanted in order to safeguard my dog!
