Our pet was not treated with the dignity she deserved

On June 19, our precious Labrador puppy, Ashley, needed to be euthanized because of penetrating cancer and discomfort. On June 20, preparations were completed to get a "Observed Cremation" to be supplied by "Sacramento Pet Cemetery" (SPC). I made preparations for that cremation your day before Ashley was euthanized to avoid extra discomfort and suffering.

I called Tammy at SPC. Their site confirmed a well-groomed landscaped grounds and well-kept structures. I had been certain it was a real picture of the office. We decided to a "Observed Cremation", therefore we'd be confident that we obtained only Ashleys stays. The support was to occur at 10:30 the following day. Tammy promised me-she could be there in those days to make sure all went as guaranteed.

Upon introduction, my spouse and that I didn't discover that which was demonstrated on the site. We noticed a graveyard overgrown with weeds, the structures filthy and run-down. Furniture was coated with previous torn covers which we were scared to sit down on. We were fulfilled, not by Tammy, but with a child, called Jimmy, who seemed anxious and uncertain of how to proceed in what order. He got us in to the "viewing region", a space roughly 4-feet by 6 legs comprising a classic desk where our favorite dog put. Ashley looked terrible. It was not the Ashley that I'd left at U.C. Davis Vet Clinic, after euthanizing, having a peaceful position and shut eyes and mouth. No! Ashley put with dry blood-stained gauze under her mouth, that was available in a grimace, or snarl present and eyes partly shut. I'll permanently have that whilst the last storage of my precious dog that I lifted from 6 months to 14 years. This annoyed people so much we couldn't continue watching her.

I stated to Lewis that it had been unsettling for all of US to see her like this and in the place of clear her up and repose her, in a far more sensible peaceful position, he merely created the declaration, "I attempted to wash her up earlier", without any work designed to correct the problem. We subsequently went forward using the cremation once we might no further take a look at our dog. We were escorted about 20-feet to some storage having a garagedoor that kept one cremation oven. While Ray visited get Ashley in the "viewing space", he didn't place her in virtually any container or something simply introduced her towards the stove, eliminated the previous quilt which was on her behalf and set her about the chilly dirty oven floor. Viewing Ashley installing this way was beyond what I really could manage and that I quit in holes whilst the stove door shut. I had been organized on her to become place in an "stove" but I sensed there must be some form of divorce from her body and also the oven floor, like a document lining or covering to maintain her body from connection with the filthy floor, providing Ashley some pride. Because it was, the procedure confirmed deficiencies in patient about Ashley and us, her "parents".

Upon returning about two 5 hours later to get Ashleyis stays, Tammy was subsequently existing with another household. I talked to Tammy concerning the scenario with Lewis and our disappointment using the method Ashley was managed because of the reality Lewis hadn't been educated correctly. Although we experience he did the very best he might underneath the scenario he confronted alone.

Tammy didn't describe why she'dnot been there as guaranteed, although I questioned about this, or did she react to the truth that Lewis wasn't sufficiently educated to get this obligation. Her only remark was "I'll keep in touch with him concerning the gauze".

I'd never again make use of this organization. Anything, from site pictures, guarantees within the telephone, guarantees and also the real support wasn't as guaranteed. We were left annoyed and furious during our period of suffering.

Your Ashley wasn't handled using the pride she earned, or were visualizations taken into account when showing our precious Dog for "watching". She was quit as if she'd simply been "struck with a vehicle" and placed on a desk for all of US to determine. I'll always remember how terrible our Ashley appeared, because of the providers of Sacramento Pet Cemetery.
