I live in an apartment complex and Direct tv has a joint billing bundling agreement with Multiband. I have been paying my bills online through Multiband for the past 10 months. I got a paper bill from Direct tv yesterday stating that I owe $104.64. My normal bill that I pay online and on-time every time is $49.82. I called customer service three times yesterday. They kept on pointing fingers at everyone else but Direct tv themselves. I have never cancelled this joint payment bundle agreement nor did Multiband. Why would I cancel this agreement and have Direct tv charge me late fees? This make no sense. Direct tv must of cancelled this agreement WITHOUT making me aware of this and now are charging late fees on top of this. I paid my last bill on time, which has billing cycle from 5/22 to 6/21 so there is no way I should have a bill of $104.64 as of right now. This problem NEEDS to get resolved! The customer service representatives were not helpful nor were their managers. They will give you the run-around all day/night! I also signed up for Direct tv a year ago at the end of this month. Because DIRECT TV could not put one of my receivers into one of my rooms at the time of installment and could not do this until 11/09 they are trying to also charge me a $50 cancellation fee because I am cancelling before the one year mark. I have written proof on the paper bill they just sent me yesterday that states the 12 month price guarantee ends 7 which in turn means I have had this service for a year. Therefore, I should NOT be charged a cancellation fee. I am tired of this company and tired of the service this company provides. Everyone i am warning you now do not ever do business with this shady company!!!
