I called for service to have my Dodge Ram Van B2500 winched out of a very small hole. It was mud, so I could not get it out. I was told that someone would be there in about an hour. Two hours later, I called back and asked where they were and was told that they did not know and would call the tow driver. Allstate called back and stated that the driver said they were not coming.
No call, nothing. I told them I had been paying for three years and someone had better be there to help me. Allstate informed me that the driver was the only one in the area authorized to tow me. After repeated attempts to get them to help me, Allstate in the end did nothing.
Allstate called back about two hours later and informed me that the driver said he would come out and winch me out, but my $250.00 was not enough and I would have to pay an additional $100.00. I informed them I could get out with a push and that I was not paying them $350.00 to get me out. Allstate representatives were hostile and outright rude during this entire episode.
In the end, Allstate refused to help me without my paying the driver an additional $100.00. This company and the towing industry have quite a scam going on here. I would not recommend this company in any way, shape, or form. In fact, I am seeking an attorney to demand a refund of the three years I have been paying without service.
