Hi,
We originally had Charter Communications service. We moved to our present address and subscribed to sbc.com (the package includes phone service and internet service). After 3 weeks of waiting in vain for their installation CD software in the mail, we cancelled their service (sbc.global.net). We subscribed to a local NetZero service and forgot about them. Now they charge us for connection and service not rendered.
The first bill had a calculation error of over 5 dollars. I gave them notice, hoping for more attention to the calculation and a credit back. Instead, the second bill showed a charge for a fictitious service in the name of sbc.yahoo.com...
- Since we did not know who yahoo.com is and never did business with them, we refuse to pay this charge.
- We suspect retaliation now: our caller ID service stopped responding (no more active).
I do not believe it is a calculation error: a computer cannot do wrong. The first time, in one bill, it is still acceptable as human error, but again and again, with many people complaining, it is deliberately done. It is purposeful cheating.
