Why Att failed me

I have had issues with my internet and cable service for the past month. They came to see the wires as when i called the tech said there was an issue in my neighborhood. This did not fix the issue completely. Both services go out periodically. An appointment was made for this saturday window of 12-4 pm. Checked the website throughout the day to see if tech was on time. All was good. It was after 4 and i called the 800 number like the website instructed. I was informed they called me at 3.37 pm. Unfortunately when the service call was placed the operator did not remove the old phone number and this is what was called. So now i was told i would have to wait till 6 pm. She told me she could not contact the dispatch as it was not possible. The operator promised (this is not something you should do in customer service) she also said she could not credit me etc until the tech came out and my issue was not worthy of a credit. 6 pm rolls around and no tech. I call the 800 number and am told they have a window of 4-8 pm. I am beyond furious at this point. I am on the phone with the operator and he tells me he spoke to the dispatch (funny that he could but the previous lady could not) and it will be no later than 8 pm. I was on the phone with him for 45 min. At 630 i said to him i really want to know if they plan on coming. If they cant come i would rather now know and try to salvage my day than wait and they dont come. He assured me a ticket was assigned and they would be on their way. Around 7:50 my dog barked to let me know a car was there. I put her in the back and thought wow thats cutting it pretty close. I go outside and physically see the att van. The driver is on a phone as i can see the blue glow. I went back in the house and waited a few more moments and went to see where he was. To my dismay the van was gone!!! My blood is boiling and now i know i need to call the 800 number for a 3rd time today. I immediately ask for a supervisor and he says he will call the tech... Hmmmm funny how each time i call they can do different things. He then tells me the truck was for another service call and mine was never dispatched. I know this is absurd since if they really could fix things in 5 minutes i would not have to wait all day! I had to convince the tech to try and let my change out my modem instead of setting up another appointment and waiting all day for nothing. I never got a call from the tech saying they were not coming. The second phone operator i spoke to ensured me they had my phone number. I need to speak to someone immediately.
