On 2 December I moved my internet service from Earthlink to Verizon Fios. The product seems to be good but their automated Spam block has chosen to block email sent to me via an organizational server, vhpa.org. (Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association).
Without any notification to me, they blocked and once I found out, by accident, of the spam block, I started trying to remedy the problem. I submitted to forms to their "Whitelist" a week ago, nothing. I have called and talked to customer service reps and their supervisors, nothing. Thursday night I spent over an hour on the phone and had a supervisor assure me that he would submit a ticket to the On Line Security Department and that, worst case, the problem would be resolved by 7:00pm Saturday, 12/12/09. Tonight, when I checked, the email is still blocked as spam and, after an hour on hold, the Verizon rep, without much sympathy indicated that I had been misinformed and the department that had the action would respond to the ticket within 48 "business hours" and did not work on weekends. Maybe Monday.

For over a week my eMail has been disrupted. I will never know what I have missed but I do know that communications from my bank have been blocked as well as those from family, friends, etc.

The supervisor that advised me that I would have a resolution by tonight also indicated that he would support some type of compensation for the service disruption. Don't see anyone jumping on that bandwagon.
