Hughesnet is CRAP! I've had it for 8 years, only because I have to due to where I live. When it works, it is great! But that only happens maybe a couple of hours, once a day or less. Their customer service is the worst I have ever seen in my life. You can't understand anything they say and have to continually have them repeat theirselves. I won't call them anymore. I need to upload many photos and can't even do that right now because for days, even though I surf the web ok, the photos won't go through. All it says is suspected satellite outage. Really? I can surf the web, but there's an outage when I want to upload photos? Frustrating, frustrating, frustrating! Take my advice and try to find somewhere else. I am waiting until next year when we will finally get fiberoptic and I can kick hughesnet out the door. If I can hold out that long. I am seriously considering going to dial up again.
