Service Shut Off - CABLE, PHONE, INTERNET

I made a $260 dollar payment to the company after my service was shut off for non-payment on Sunday. Everything was great the service was back on, I was watching tv on my DVR, I was surfing the web, and using the home phone. Two days later on Tuesday, my whole service was shut off (Cable, Internet, Phone). I called and they said that it was shut off because I still had a balance, and they wanted an additional $300 from me. Is this normal to pay a bill and get shut off two days later? Thank You. Other than the shut off I love Time Warner Cable, I just don't like making a payment and then being sent back to the stoneage after two days. I miss my Service: (
