I booked a ticket online through cheapoair.com after calling their customer service to verify the flights and amount I was seeing online. The representative told me the ticket price would be higher if I booked over the phone so I booked online and received a confirmation email that night. Over 24 hours later, I received another email telling me my original ticket had be cancelled and that my flight was rerouted so I needed to approved the new itinerary and pay an additional $400 for the new ticket! THe route they put me on had me flying un and down California for 2 days and then getting on a flight to the actual destination I was trying to reach, but they didn't understand the absurdity of their itinerary. I spent almost 2 hours on the phone with the customer service department insisting they honor the ticket and price they confirmed with me only to be told my only option was to pay the additional fees or get a refund. Their site is inaccurate and their Terms and Conditions that they were supposedly quoting to me did not mention anything about the 3 day period where they may without notice cancel or change an already confirmed ticket purchase! This company should not be allowed to sell tickets that don't exist/aren't valid. I will NOT use this site again and would deter anyone else from attempting. Even if their site shows a lower fare, book through a more dependable travel site. I've never encountered such ridiculous issues with a travel site!
