I booked two nights at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago online. Non-refundable. Had a change of plans and asked to push the reservations back three days. I'm not asking for a refund or to cancel. Advance reservations tells me there is a $50.00 fee to do this, I have to cancel and then re-book non refundable again, the new room fee is $10/night more, and the credit won't appear on my credit card for two to six weeks, but the new charge will. Left a e-mail on the Hilton site, got a reply that they won't be able to answer in the standard 24-48 hours. Still haven't heard a thing. I would think Hilton would be more interested in keeping customers than driving them away.
